Job summary

NHS Jobs is seeking an experienced Clinical Lead GP for our Dudley Urgent Treatment Centre to provide clinical leadership across the service and support the wider clinical team. The role emphasizes governance, quality improvement and safeguarding, with full-time hours (40 per week).

You will collaborate with the Service Manager, Medical Director and governance teams to ensure high-quality patient care, lead audits, and drive clinical performance.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified GP with GMC licence to practise and GP training (CCT/JCPTGP/PMETB or equivalent).
• Evidence of ongoing personal and professional development.
• Experience in governance, quality improvement and safeguarding processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality clinical consultations for patients at the Urgent Care Centre.
• Provide clinical leadership and support to GPs and clinical colleagues.
• Lead on clinical quality assurance, audits and annual appraisals.
• Support achievement of KPIs and national service specifications.
• Manage clinical risk and contribute to incident investigations and escalations.
• Collaborate with Safeguarding Lead on safeguarding practice.
