The Role

We're looking for an experienced Clinical Lead - Complex Care to provide clinical leadership and ensure the highest standards of care for individuals with complex health needs. You'll oversee care planning, staff development, and quality assurance while acting as a trusted point of contact for families and professionals.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead on complex cases (neurological impairments, spinal injuries, ventilated patients, long‑term conditions).
  • Oversee care plans and risk assessments, ensuring they're accurate and tailored.
  • Monitor quality of care and ensure compliance with CQC standards.
  • Supervise and support nurses and care staff, fostering a motivated team.
  • Deliver or coordinate specialist training (tracheostomy care, PEG feeding, medication management).
  • Liaise with families and external professionals to ensure collaborative care.
  • Manage incidents and safeguarding processes with thorough, compliant responses.
What We’re Looking For
  • Registered Nurse (RGN/RMN/RNLD) with valid NMC PIN
  • 3‑5 years' experience in complex care or community nursing
  • Proven leadership or supervisory background
  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding, CQC regulations, and clinical governance
  • Excellent communication and decision‑making skills
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel
Ideally, You’ll Also Have
  • Acute experience with both children and adults in HDU/ITU settings
  • Confidence in tracheostomy care, ventilation, seizure management, and chest management
  • Experience in staff training and mentoring
  • Familiarity with electronic care planning systems
