Job description

Clinical Lead | Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS FoundationTrust

Company:

Company: Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust

We are looking for a Band 6 Clinical Lead to join our established team in our modern acute mental health ward in Macclesfield.

Mulberry Ward is a 26-bed mixed gender ward providing specialist mental health inpatient assessment and treatment.

We are looking for a Registered Nurse with a passion for acute mental health care, development of services and systems, and knowledge of supervision and audit processes. The ideal applicant will also have a good understanding of the leadership style required to be part of a ward leadership team to support the Ward Manager in delivering a high-quality mental health service.

The role will involve working within set objectives which reflect the direction of the service and the Trust, providing clinical leadership within the ward team to promote a high standard of patient care, and providing management support, deputising for the Ward Manager in their absence.

1. Source of expertise for clinical practice for the care team. Able to demonstrate, through personal skills and achievement, a high level of patient care, using processes such as role modelling and supervision.

2. To undertake audit of evidence-based interventions to ensure continued best practice.

3. Engage with MDT to ensure holistic patient centred care planning.

4. Able to assess, evaluate and advise staff on care planning and discharge planning.

5. Demonstrate knowledge and skills in the identification and management of risk.

6. Develop ways to improve efficiency and patient care.
