Job summary

Lansbury Court Care Home in Sunderland, part of Orchard Healthcare Group, is seeking a Clinical Lead Nurse to lead nursing and care teams in dementia-focused, person-centred care. The role requires leadership experience, NMC registration, and a commitment to high standards with ongoing development opportunities.

Salary £55,000 per annum, full-time (40 hours) with flexibility to cover a 7-day rota. If you are passionate about quality care and staff development, this is a pivotal leadership

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with valid NMC registration (RGN/RMN/RNLD).
• Minimum 6 months leadership experience in a clinical setting.
• Experience in teaching and assessing (qualification desirable).
• Experience of using Positive Behaviour Support (PBS).
• Experience of PMVA in care settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership and guidance to nursing and care staff.
• Supervise, monitor, and evaluate care delivery for high standards and regulatory compliance.
• Support implementation of best practices and quality improvement strategies.
• Promote infection control standards and the Gold Standards Framework.
• Lead service development initiatives and support nurse revalidation.
• Facilitate training, induction, and personal development plans for staff.
• Maintain effective communication with residents, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Conduct audits, investigate complaints, and liaise with CQC and Social Services as needed.

Are you an experienced Registered Nurse with a passion for leadership and clinical excellence? Orchard Healthcare Group is seeking a Clinical Lead Nurse to join our dedicated team at Lansbury Court in Sunderland. This is a pivotal role where you’ll lead and support our nursing and care teams to deliver outstanding, person-centred care to our residents in out Reconnect community.

What You'll Be Doing

What We're Looking For

• Registered Nurse with valid NMC registration (RGN, RMN or RNLD)
• Minimum 6 months leadership experience in a clinical setting
• Experience in teaching and assessing (qualification desirable).
• Experience of supporting teams to deliver person-centred care using Positive Behaviour Support (PBS), with the skills and confidence to guide staff in managing behaviours of concern and experience of PMVA
• Experienced working within a care home setting
