WE ARE SEEKING A FULL-TIME CLINICAL LEAD FOR OUR CLIENT
Salary: £55,000.00 per year
Working hours: 37.5 contracted hours
Working pattern: 5 days per week, including alternate weekends
Location: Kingston (KT1 2TQ)
Summary Of Main Job Purpose
- To provide leadership and be competent to support the staff.
- Supervision of all staff involved in 'care services' either directly or through Registered Nurses and Team Leaders to ensure quality standards are met.
- To be part of the Home's Management Team with a lead responsibility for management, support and direction of care services, medication and clinical standards.
- You will be expected to be part of the nursing rota for the home and work a number of nurse shifts per week as required.
- To undertake assessments
Professional Qualification
- Degree in Nursing or recognised nursing qualification
- Registration with the NMC
- Maintaining and following NMC re-validation process.
The role will include a combination of clinical hours working on the floor and supernumerary hours, allowing you to provide clinical leadership while remaining involved in the direct care of residents.
Experience Of
- Providing clinical leadership and support to nursing and care staff.
- Implementing policies and procedures, including health and safety, effectively.
- Supporting staff with induction, probationary reviews, regular supervisions and ongoing development.
- Supervising staff, involving staff in decision-making and providing guidance where required.
- Addressing problems, including performance issues, constructively and making appropriate decisions.
- Working constructively as part of the Home Management Team.
- Maintaining high standards of clinical care and supporting continuous improvement within the home.
Knowledge And Skills
- Knowledge of CQC Fundamental Standards, Health & Safety, COSHH, manual handling, infection control and good hygiene.
- Understanding of safeguarding people at risk.
- Good clinical knowledge and ability to recognise and respond appropriately to changes in residents' health.
- Ability to identify risks in the working environment and knowledge to minimise and manage risks.
- Good communication, organisational and leadership skills.
