Job summary

Gilmerton Care Home in Edinburgh is recruiting a Clinical Lead to provide day-to-day clinical leadership, oversee medication management and care planning, and mentor nursing teams. You will work closely with the Home Manager to ensure high standards of safe, person-centred care across the home.

The ideal candidate is an experienced Registered Nurse with an active NMC PIN, who can lead teams, maintain clinical standards, and support staff development in a caring, professional environment.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with active NMC PIN required.
• Experience in care home or healthcare setting preferred.
• Strong clinical knowledge and leadership能力 (mentoring others) required.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day clinical leadership to nursing and care teams.
• Oversee medication management and care planning to ensure safety and effectiveness.

Clinical Lead Contract

• £23.96 per hour
• 33.75 hours per week
• Paid PVG, pension and uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

What Matters Most

• Registered Nurse qualification with active NMC PIN is essential
• Previous nursing experience within a care home or similar healthcare environment is essential
• Strong clinical knowledge with confidence supporting medication management, care planning and clinical decision making
