Job summary

Highgate Care seeks a Clinical Lead in Bridlington to provide visible clinical leadership across the home, ensuring outstanding nursing and dementia care in a safe, supportive environment.

You will work with the Home Manager to mentor staff, promote best practice, and drive clinical governance and quality improvement initiatives to deliver excellent resident outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse (RGN or RMN) with a valid NMC PIN and no practice restrictions.
  • Experience leading or mentoring teams in care settings.
  • Strong clinical knowledge and decision-making abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strong clinical leadership to nursing and care teams.
  • Ensure safe, person-centred care for residents.
  • Lead on clinical governance, audits and quality improvement.
  • Support medication management and clinical compliance.
  • Mentor and develop nursing and care staff.
  • Build relationships with residents, families and external clinicians.
  • Promote dignity, respect and compassionate care.
  • Assist Home Manager with regulatory compliance and quality standards.

Job Type: Permanent, Full-time (40 hours per week, includes occasional evenings and weekends)

About The Role

As Clinical Lead, you will work closely with the Home Manager to provide visible clinical leadership across the community, ensuring residents receive outstanding nursing and dementia care in a safe, supportive and homely environment.

You will lead by example, supporting and developing colleagues whilst promoting best practice, clinical excellence and positive outcomes for residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strong clinical leadership to our nursing and care teams.
  • Ensure residents receive safe, effective and person-centred care.
  • Lead on clinical governance, audits and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Support medication management and clinical compliance.
  • Mentor, coach and develop nursing and care colleagues.
  • Build positive relationships with residents, families, healthcare professionals and external agencies.
  • Promote a culture of dignity, respect and compassion throughout the service.
  • Support the Home Manager in achieving regulatory compliance and quality standards.
What We're Looking For
  • Registered Nurse (RGN or RMN) with a valid NMC PIN with no restrictions on practice
  • Previous experience working within a Acute nursing setting or dementia settings is essential.
  • Experience of leading, supervising or mentoring teams.
  • Strong clinical knowledge and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
  • Passion for delivering outstanding resident-centred care.
