Job summary

Metabolic Health is seeking a Laboratory Technician/Technologist to join the clinical laboratory team. You will perform a broad range of tests, manage samples, maintain instruments and ensure timely, accurate results to support patient care.

In this hands-on role you will work with clinical scientists and pathologists, follow ISO 15189 and UK COSHH guidelines, and contribute to quality management and documentation using NHS-compliant systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of experience in a clinical or hospital laboratory.
• Familiarity with automated laboratory platforms and NHS-compliant LIMS.
• Experience in ISO 15189 or similar accreditation environments is advantageous.
• Proven ability to follow SOPs and maintain high quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Process and analyse a wide range of biological samples.
• Maintain instrument performance and perform regular QC and calibration.
• Generate and release results within defined turnaround times.
• Log results accurately in electronic medical records and NHS-compliant systems.
• Collaborate with clinical scientists and pathologists to ensure accurate reporting.
