Birmingham Womens and Childrens NHS Foundation Trust seeks a dedicated domestic/cleaning operative to join its multidisciplinary team, delivering a safe and clean environment for patients and families.
You will maintain high cleanliness standards, assist with food and beverage provision where needed, and work with nursing staff to ensure spaces are tidy, safe and well organised.

To work as a fully integrated member of the multi-disciplinary team in providing a safe and appropriate environment for patients and families.
To maintain an excellent standard of cleanliness and tidiness within the department environment, to ensure Infection Control cleaning is maintained , in partnership with the Facilities Team .
Terminal Cleaning of Medical equipment and Incubators and cots .
To ensure efficient organisation and provision of food and beverages for patients , if working in an area where patients eat and drink . Maintaining and documenting Refrigerator temperatures for medicine and specimen samples
To maintain stores and adequate stock levels of consumables, by completing the orders in a timely manner.
To support under direction, the ward activity to enable patient flow and capacity .
To work as part of the department team to ensure that an excellent standard of cleanliness and tidiness is maintained . This includes clinical areas, all medical equipment and additional equipment appropriate to the clinical place of work and as included in the ward cleaning schedules and room cleaning job plan .
To ensure that the patient bed spaces / rooms / theatre are cleaned daily and kept clean and tidy to ensure a safe environment, working with the nursing /midwifery staff, child/young person and family . This includes cleaning of bed spaces and rooms in between patients.
To ensure that all empty bed spaces are set up and ready for use at all times .
