Job Advert: Clinical Head of Healthcare – Surrey

Position: Clinical Head of Healthcare

Location: Surrey - Multi-site - Hybrid working (Staines, Guildford, and Salfords)

Salary: £55,694 PA + Car Allowance £4,800

Direct Reports: 2 x Clinical Leads

Benefits: £3,000 Relocation Allowance, £1,500 Sign-On Bonus

Hours: Predominately Monday to Friday, flexible (24/7 service)

Key Responsibilities Include:
  1. Provide effective clinical leadership to Forensic Practitioners and Healthcare Professionals.
  2. Ensure high-quality, patient-focused care while meeting client KPIs.
  3. Manage client relationships and identify opportunities for service enhancement.
  4. Oversee staffing levels, skill mix, and compliance with operational standards.
  5. Act as a role model and mentor, promoting professional development.
  6. Coordinate healthcare pathways for individuals involved in the criminal justice process.
  7. Maintain a strong, on-site presence and communication with staff, patients, and external stakeholders.
  8. Ensure services are delivered within budget forecasts.
  9. Provide evidence-based, patient-centered care to all patients.
  10. Respond to capacity demands and patient dependency needs, ensuring safety.
  11. Share best practices and ensure staff compliance with MAST requirements.
  12. Support police, HCPs, and Forensic Practitioners with expert advice and emotional support.
  13. Manage Clinical Leads, HCPs, FMEs, and Forensic Practitioner teams, ensuring effective staffing.

Essential Skills
Essential Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5 years post-registration experience as Nurse or Paramedic.
  • Proven multi-site leadership and management experience.
  • Driving license and access to a vehicle.
  • Experience managing clinical services.
  • Relationship management skills.
  • Line management experience.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Desirable:
  • Experience in secure or police custody healthcare environments.
  • Project management experience.
