Job summary

Demelza is seeking a Team Lead to drive clinical governance, patient safety, education and professional development across services. This full-time 37.5-hour-per-week role reports to the Deputy Director of Nursing and sits in the Clinical Governance department.

You will lead incident reporting, analyse data for trends, provide clinical teaching, and line-manage Practice Development Nurses, delivering education programmes and supporting policy and QA systems.

Qualifications

• Registered Children’s or Learning Disability Nurse with degree-level education.
• Experience in clinical governance, patient safety, risk management, audit and quality improvement.
• Proven leadership and people management experience.
• Strong communication and report-writing skills.
• Ability to analyse data and translate into improvements.
• Knowledge of governance frameworks including safeguarding, CQC and PSIRF.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage incident reporting, investigations and organisational learning per PSIRF.
• Analyse quality and safety data to identify trends, risks and opportunities for improvement.
• Provide hands-on clinical teaching, coaching and support to staff.
• Line-manage Practice Development Nurses and support education and development programmes.
• Lead clinical audit activity and ensure learning translates into improvements.
• Support policy development and quality assurance systems across services.
