Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to work as Clinical Fellows in our Inpatient Wards in General Adult Psychiatry. These are full-time (40 hours per week) posts at South West London and St George's Mental Health Trust, based at Springfield Hospital, Tooting, London.
The posts are offered at a level equivalent to Core Trainee, with appointments based on qualifications and experience. The initial duration is 6 months, with a possibility of extension for a further 6 months, subject to mutual agreement, availability, and funding.
Successful applicants will work at Springfield Hospital as part of a multidisciplinary team in modern inpatient psychiatric wards. Each ward has a clinical supervisor (ward consultant) and a second ward doctor (core trainee or clinical fellow). The posts are suitable for doctors at various career stages, including Post Foundation Year 2, FY3, or those seeking to attain MRCPsych qualifications.
The role offers training, educational opportunities, and appraisal, including attendance at a weekly academic program. Out-of-hours on-call is optional, but participation in daytime duties is expected.

These 6-month Clinical Fellow posts (August 2025 - February 2026) are at core trainee level, with salary based on experience. Successful candidates will work as ward doctors in friendly, modern inpatient environments. The role is suitable for doctors at various career stages, including Post Foundation and other medical trainees.
There may be an opportunity for a further 6-month extension, depending on mutual agreement and availability. Training, educational opportunities, and appraisal will be provided.
