NHS Golden Jubilee is seeking a Clinical Fellow in Lower Limb Arthroplasty starting in February or August 2026. This role offers an opportunity to gain extensive knowledge and experience in arthroplasty procedures within a leading Orthopaedic department, along with the potential for contract extension. Applicants must have completed basic training and passed the MRCS exam.
Applications are invited for the position of Clinical Fellow in Lower Limb Arthroplasty at the Clydebank site, starting in February 2026 or August 2026. The initial contract is for 6 months with potential extension.
The Golden Jubilee University National Hospital Orthopaedic department is one of the largest Arthroplasty units in the UK, with 25 orthopaedic consultants, including specialists in foot, ankle, hand, and wrist surgery.
The department performs approximately 4,000 primary and revision joint replacements annually, along with over 500 other elective orthopaedic procedures, including foot & ankle, soft tissue knee surgery, and hand surgery. The Foot and Ankle Unit is a high-volume center for elective surgeries, including over 600 total ankle replacements each year.
Successful candidates will gain exposure to all aspects of modern hip and knee arthroplasty, including robotic and computer-navigated knee replacements. Candidates are expected to participate actively in audit and research activities.
Applicants should ideally have completed basic Orthopaedic Registrar training and passed the MRCS exam; FRCS Orth. is desirable. Candidates without MRCS will not be considered.
