CLINICAL FELLOW IN GERIATRIC MEDICINE
(Fixed term 12 months)
Applications are invited for this post in Geriatric Medicine. This position supports the care of patients on our assessment and rehabilitation ward, which is a 21-bed ward combining general, stroke, and orthogeriatric rehabilitation. We also provide specialized rehabilitation for patients with paraplegia or amputations close to home.
We are a small 41-bed hospital serving a population of 35,000 in a remote area. Our team provides continuity of care for people living with frailty, often with recurrent hospital admissions, allowing us to build lasting relationships with patients and their families.
The postholder will assist with frailty assessments at the front door and review adults with longer predicted stays in the admissions ward. You will have opportunities to develop clinical skills in geriatric medicine and participate in quality improvement or teaching roles.
You will be welcomed into a supportive and forward-thinking team that values a positive working environment.
Applicants must have full GMC registration with a license to practice and at least two years of postgraduate training (or equivalent experience), including part-time or flexible training.
