UCL Hospitals seeks a Clinical Fellow in Cellular Pathology with a special interest in Haematopathology. This 12-month fixed-term contract aims to provide specialist training at the SpR level. The role is suitable for trainees with at least three years of histopathology experience or recent FRCPath examination completion. The fellow will work with Consultants and Specialist Registrars in Cellular Pathology, delivering haematopathology services to UCLH and network hospitals.

All candidates must be eligible for full GMC registration. The post involves full-time work (40 hours/week) with no on-call duties.

Main duties of the job

The appointee will undertake duties of an experienced specialist registrar, focusing on haematopathology, supporting other cellular pathology areas as needed, and providing diagnostic services. The workload includes around 4,500 cases annually, such as lymph node biopsies and bone marrow trephines. The role includes case reporting, supporting histopathology, and participation in multidisciplinary meetings. Rotation to diagnostic flow cytometry and molecular labs can be arranged but is optional.
