NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is seeking a Clinical Engineer Technologist to join their Medical Equipment Management service. The role involves maintaining and repairing essential medical devices across hospital sites. Candidates should have a strong engineering background, postgraduate experience with medical devices, and excellent communication skills. The shift pattern is Monday to Friday, from 0800 to 1600, with an alternative shift on Tuesday from 0800 to 1530.
Our Medical Equipment Management service ensures the safe and effective use of medical devices essential for diagnosis and treatment across hospital sites. The team comprises highly trained clinical engineer technologists managing over 55,000 devices, completing more than 60,000 jobs annually.
You will be based at Gartnavel General Hospital, working as part of a team to maintain, commission, calibrate, and repair a wide range of medical equipment, including highly complex devices. Your daily tasks may include assisting in theatres with equipment failures, commissioning new devices, or performing scheduled maintenance in outpatient clinics.
