Job summary

University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust is seeking a Practice Development Midwife to provide clinical leadership, education and professional support to drive learning and safe, high‑quality patient care across the Trust.

The post holder will work with education leads and senior midwives to identify learning needs, lead on practice education, and support wellbeing and professional development of learners, while contributing to service improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience in nursing/midwifery education and clinical leadership.
• Ability to promote evidence-based practice and quality improvement.
• Strong collaboration with education leads, senior midwives and regulatory bodies.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership, education and professional support for nursing, midwifery and support staff.
• Lead on development and delivery of practice education and staff wellbeing.
• Promote a positive learning culture and high standards of education and care.
• Maintain accurate records of education, training and updates.
• Support governance with HEIs and regulatory bodies including NMC standards.
• Identify learning needs and respond with targeted training and development.
• Lead corporate nursing/midwifery projects and audits.
