Job summary

London Ambulance Service NHS Trust is seeking highly motivated Driving Tutors to join our Education & Standards department to deliver a range of driver education and training programs for all grades of clinical and support staff across London.

Training occurs in classroom settings, virtual classrooms, and on operational vehicles, aligned with the agreed training plan and in compliance with local and national standards.

Responsibilities

• Deliver driver education and training to all grades of clinical and support staff within the Trust.
• Deliver activities in classroom settings and virtual classrooms, and in operational environments.
• Monitor learner activities and mentor learners to meet the agreed training plan.
• Promote best practice across the service while ensuring compliance with local and national standards.

Job description

This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a diverse team, supporting the clinical education programmes for Ambulance Operations in one of the busiest ambulance services in the world., Provide approved driver training within the scope of the Education & Standards department, delivering driver education and training to all grades of clinical and support staff within the Trust. This will take place:
Within education centres in a formal classroom setting and virtual classroomsWithin an operational environment where there may be patient interactionOn operational vehicles
Deliver these activities, as scheduled to meet the demands of the agreed training plan, including the monitoring and mentoring of all learner activities.
Be actively involved in promoting best practise across the service whilst maintaining compliance with local and national policies and standards.
Ensuring all Awarding/Accrediting bodies requirements are adhered to and met, ensuring compliance with all relevant standards, directives and policies, including role-modelling exemplary driving standards.
