Job summary

ICON Strategic Solutions is seeking a Medical Editor to ensure accuracy of content in clinical and regulatory documents prepared by Medical Writing. You will edit, fact-check, and quality-review clinical content and ensure alignment with guidelines and templates.

The role emphasises editorial excellence, attention to detail, and collaboration with medical writers to deliver inspection-ready documents in a sponsor-d dedicated environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific discipline.
• At least 3 years of experience in medical editing or scientific writing
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and understanding of clinical research processes and regulations
• Excellent language skills (reading, writing, editing, team communication)
• Ability to interpret clinical data and literature
• Knowledge of AMA Manual of Style, other style guides and related guidelines
• Expertise in Microsoft Word, including advanced formatting, styles, cross-referencing, bookmarks
• Fluent in English
• Basic understanding of Acrobat/PDF software

Responsibilities

• Perform quality reviews and edit clinical documents, regulatory submissions, and related documents
• Conduct detailed data accuracy reviews and fact-checks in clinical and regulatory documents, tables, and literature
• Substantively edit and proofread documents to correct grammar, spelling, style and format
• Verify document content is consistent with internal, client, and authority guidelines
• Format, styles, and troubleshoot functionality and presentation of documents and templates
• Communicate with medical writers and team members to ensure accuracy of documents
• Ensure inspection-readiness of medical writing activities

As a Medical Editor at ICON, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of content in clinical and regulatory documents prepared by Medical Writing

What You Will Do

You will take responsibility for editorial and content services deliverables, applying your skills to ensure quality and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities Include

• Responsible for performing quality reviews and editing clinical documents, regulatory submissions, and other related documents
• Performs detailed data accuracy reviews and fact-checks statements in clinical and regulatory documents, tables, literature summaries, and other internal documents
• Substantively edits and proofreads documents to correct and streamline grammar, spelling, style, and format
• Verifies that document content is consistent with internal, client, and related authority guidelines
• Formats, styles, and troubleshoots functionality and presentation of documents and templates
• Communicates with medical writers and other team members to ensure the accuracy of documents
• Responsible for inspection-readiness of medical writing activities

Your Profile

You will bring relevant editorial and content services experience, along with the following qualifications and skills.

• At least 3 years of experience in medical editing or scientific writing, preferably within a clinical research or pharmaceutical environment.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and an understanding of clinical research processes and regulations.
• Excellent language skills (reading, writing, editing, team communication)
• Ability to interpret clinical data and literature
• Knowledge of AMA Manual of Style, other style guides, and any guidelines related to assigned projects
• Expertise in Microsoft Word, including advanced formatting, styles, cross-referencing, bookmarks, and other related skills
• Fluent in English
• Basic understanding of Acrobat/PDF software
