Clinical Director for General Dental Services

Part Time - 16 hours

The remit of our Primary Care Dental Team is to manage the arrangements which the NHS Board is required to make with dental practitioners for the provision of general dental services in accordance with The National Health Services (General Dental Services) (Scotland) Regulations 2010.

NHS Lanarkshire is looking for an experienced candidate to provide clinical leadership to its GDS team. Supported by our Dental Practice Advisors, the Clinical Director will fulfil a governance and pastoral role to practitioners, offering support, guidance and advice on all primary care dental practice matters.

You will be a experienced and qualified General Dental Practitioner and will lead the governance of General Dental Practitioners, in addition to contribute to and promote the improvement in quality of care throughout general dental practice, to act in a supportive and advisory capacity (including clinical advice, audit and quality improvement) to practitioners, and to provide advice to South Lanarkshire University Health and Social Care Partnership, which hosts GDS on a pan-Lanarkshire basis
