Job description

Clinical Director fixed term contract – 1 year / substantive Consultant Psychiatrist

Overview

We have five Clinical Director posts available across our Directorates: Acute, Forensic, and Specialist, in North, East, and West regions. Additionally, substantive Consultant Psychiatrist posts are available in various specialties within the Trust.

Role Responsibilities

1. Work closely with the Service Director to deliver outstanding care and provide leadership in governance, safety, quality assurance, and strategic development.
2. Lead a Community of Practice (CoP) as Chair, collaborating with other CoP Chairs for integrated working.
3. Promote a culture of continuous improvement and embed quality initiatives through dedicated sessions with the Improvement Team.
4. Clinical leadership responsibilities will constitute 0.4 WTE, with patient-facing clinical work taking up the remaining time.

Contract and Remuneration

Medical staff will be engaged on a 10 PA contract, with an additional 2 PAs remuneration for the Clinical Director role. Clinical psychiatrist roles are available and can be aligned with your application to support your CD responsibilities.
