Job summary

Abbott in the UK seeks a Clinical Development Specialist for the Electrophysiology team to cover London/South East accounts. You will support strategic plans, drive trials, provide on-site support during installations, and deliver clinical projects.

The role requires EP clinical experience, a sciences/engineering degree, and accreditation progress (IBHRE/EHRA). Travel and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Clinical experience in EP (NHS or industry)
• Degree in Sciences or Medical Engineering preferred
• IBHRE/EHRA accreditation in progress or attained
• Good knowledge of cardiac anatomy/physiology
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Willingness to travel and work autonomously

Responsibilities

• Support strategic account plans with Territory Manager and drive trials/adoption of Abbott technology
• Provide on-site technical support during installations and trial phases
• Deliver LMR and clinical project activities
• Prioritize Tier 1 accounts and assist Tier 2
• Develop and deliver training programmes and product presentations
• Onboard new centres and assist clinicians during EP procedures
• Contribute to product promotion, education programmes, and Abbott events
• Maintain up-to-date technical/clinical knowledge and market insights

Due to an internal move, we are currently looking for a Clinical Development Specialist to join our Electrophysiology team and cover key accounts in the London/South East UK region.

What you'll do:

• Support strategic account plans with the Territory Manager and assist the sales team in driving trials and adoption of Abbott technology.
• Provide on‑site technical support during installations and throughout trial phases.
• Deliver LMR and clinical project activities.
• Prioritise Tier 1 customer accounts, with secondary focus on Tier 2.
• Develop and deliver tailored training programmes and product presentations; ensure smooth handover to local teams post‑trial.
• Offer expert technical support to clinicians during Electrophysiology procedures and help onboard new centres.
• Contribute to EP product promotion, education programmes, clinical training, and Abbott events.
• Maintain strong technical and clinical knowledge of Abbott products, therapies, and market dynamics.
• Monitor competitive landscape and share insights with Sales and Marketing.
• Keep sales & activity tools updated with visit notes and relevant account information.

What you'll need:

• Clinical experienced in EP either in NHS or in the industry
• Degree preferably in Sciences or (Medical) Engineering
• Holds or at the final stages of obtaining IBHRE/EHRA accreditation
• Medical background is a plus
• Knowledge of the local healthcare market
• Familiarity with Cath lab and operating room procedures and protocol
• Strong Cardiac Anatomy & Physiology knowledge
• Entrepreneurial spirit, willing to support Abbott's product technically and from a sales perspective
• Strong Communication skills: verbal and written.
