ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Regional Clinical Development Nurse at Barchester, you’ll lead, support, and continuously improve the clinical governance and quality of care for residents in nine of our care homes; two in North Yorkshire, four in Lancashire, two in Cumbria, and one in Dumfries.

You’ll be expected to support the performance of each home, ensuring it meets the highest clinical standards. Reviewing the clinical governance database and KPIs of each home every month, you’ll analyze the results and identify practical strategies to ensure all regulations are met and that we continually improve the care we deliver.

Working closely with the Regional Director, improvement specialists, and senior clinical staff in each home, you’ll support the continual improvement of standards and help implement key actions to address any issues. Whether organising new training, attracting key senior clinical staff, or delivering clinical investigations, your leadership skills and passion will make a real difference to our residents.

Due to the regional nature of this role, a willingness for regular travel is essential.

ABOUT YOU
To join us as a Regional Clinical Development Nurse, you must be a Registered Nurse (RGN) with a current NMC registration. You should also provide evidence of continued professional development and have a strong understanding of current regulatory requirements. An experienced nurse, you’ll have worked in a care home environment and be confident in mentoring, including with newly qualified nurses. Your leadership skills, analytical mind, and ability to share knowledge, build relationships, and deliver action plans will enable you to achieve impressive results.
