Clinical Deputy Manager

Salary up to £54,080 per annum – depending on experience. Permanent – 40 hours per week. Welcome bonus £2,000.
Job Description
Monday to Friday. Occasional night visits or weekend work may be required.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and assist all aspects of nursing care and activities within the home.
- Create and update individual care plans for residents, maintaining accurate medication records.
- Maintain correct staffing levels through efficient rota management and ensure adequate staffing at all times.
- Provide day‑to‑day support and guidance to the team, promoting residents’ independence, choice and dignity.
- Build lasting relationships with residents and their families, fostering a sense of community.
- Develop strong relationships with local partners, liaising with them to raise the care home’s profile.
Key Skills / Qualifications
- Registered Nurse with a valid NMC PIN and a commitment to NMC codes and professional development.
- Understanding of how nursing care can improve residents’ lives, and ability to champion independence, choice and dignity.
- Up‑to‑date knowledge of tissue viability, infection control and care planning.
- Effective communicator capable of building honest relationships with residents and families.
- Leadership skills – able to mentor a team, delegate effectively and promote customer service.
- Excellent time‑management and prioritisation of workload.
- Respectful and compassionate team player who strives to give their personal best.
