Job description

An exciting new job opportunity has arisen for a committed Nurse Deputy Home Manager to work in an exceptional care home based in Cardiff. You will be working for one of UK's leading healthcare providers.

This is an excellent care home for adults with physical disabilities, offering ensuite rooms with ceiling hoists.

To be considered for this position, you must be qualified as a Registered Nurse with a current active NMC Pin.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Service Manager in providing leadership to staff to deliver high-quality, person-centred care in a safe environment.
  • Lead nursing teams to promote dignity, privacy, safety, independence, equality, and diversity.
  • Support resource management, including financial performance and occupancy levels.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and legislative requirements.
  • Manage the smooth operation of the transitional unit and liaise with external health professionals.
  • Provide clinical leadership and supervision within the service.
  • Take full accountability for infection control implementation and audits.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
  • Experience as a Deputy Manager, Clinical Lead, or Senior Nurse in a nursing home setting.
  • Leadership experience within a team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in IT and confidence with computer-based work.
Salary and Benefits:

The successful Deputy Manager will receive an annual salary of £39,600. This is a permanent full-time role, working 35 hours per week, primarily day shifts, including 12-hour shifts as a nurse. In return, you will enjoy benefits such as:
