Job summary

The Great Western Hospitals NHS FT is seeking a driver to join the Transport & Fleet Services team. The role involves loading and dispatching goods, delivering internal mail and medical supplies, and collecting clinical waste along a multi-site route with 7.5 hour shifts starting between 07:00 and 11:00.

You will also collect pathological samples and support out-of-hours resilience driving as required. Applicants must have the right to work in the UK; sponsorship is not provided.

Responsibilities

• Loading goods prior to dispatch on timed routes including Pharmacy controlled drugs or stores, medical records, internal mail, medical equipment, Stores and linen.
• Delivering and collecting internal mail, documents, medical stores and ad-hoc stores/equipment on scheduled routes with start times 07:00–11:00 across 7.5 hour shifts.
• Collecting pathological samples from doctors' surgeries, health centres or hospitals and delivering to pathology laboratories.
• Collecting clinical waste from patient residences on specialist routes.
