Job summary

Pulse Mental Health is recruiting an experienced Band 7 / Band 8a Clinical Psychologist or Counselling Psychologist to join a NHS mental health team in Oldham, Greater Manchester. You will deliver evidence-based talking therapies to adults with complex mental health needs within a well-established setting.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Clinical Psychology, Counselling Psychology, or an equivalent recognised qualification.
• Current HCPC registration as a Practitioner Psychologist.
• Experience delivering psychological therapies to individuals with complex mental health needs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality psychological assessment, formulation, and evidence-based talking therapies to adults with complex mental health presentations.
• Manage your own caseload and provide person-centred interventions tailored to individual needs.
• Develop and implement treatment plans designed to support recovery and improve psychological wellbeing.
• Utilise a range of therapeutic approaches appropriate to patient needs.
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary colleagues to ensure integrated and effective care.
• Complete clinical documentation, reports, and risk assessments in line with professional standards.
• Contribute to care planning, clinical discussions, and service development initiatives.
• Maintain high standards of clinical governance and professional practice.
