Job summary

Bourne Galletly Practice is seeking a proactive Practice Nurse/Healthcare Assistant to support care for patients and contribute to clinical duties within a GP setting. You will assist with health checks, wound care, minor procedures, and admin tasks to maintain high-quality service.

The role requires strong patient care, confidentiality, and effective communication, with DBS checks and a valid UK driving licence as part of the package.

Qualifications

• GCSE-level education and a health care qualification are required.
• Must hold a current UK driving licence and be willing to drive locally if needed.
• Experience with clinical administration and patient records is desirable.

Responsibilities

• New patient health checks and BP monitoring.
• Urinalysis, wound management and minor procedures preparation.
• Assist clinicians as chaperone and support HGV medicals and screenings.
• Maintain accurate patient notes and manage appointment systems.
• Ensure correct labelling, paperwork and safe handling of clinical waste.
