Job summary

University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust is seeking a Health Care Support Worker (Band 3) to join a multidisciplinary team providing direct care and supporting Registered Practitioners in a busy clinical setting in Plymouth.

The role develops core clinical skills with training provided to achieve the Care Certificate and NVQ Level 2 equivalents, encouraging flexible working and a patient-centred approach in line with Trust values.

Qualifications

• Be able to work as part of a team and contribute to patient care.
• Demonstrate time management and prioritisation in a busy environment.
• Communicate effectively in written and verbal form with patients and colleagues.
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow Trust policies.

Responsibilities

• Carry out delegated clinical duties with minimal supervision.
• Participate in patient assessment and escalation of concerns to clinical staff.
• Support junior staff and promote high standards of care.
• Follow infection control and safety policies to protect patients and staff.
