Please be advised that there is a temporary top up for Bands 2 and 3 to reflect the incorporation of the top up to the living wage of £12.60 per hour - £24,638 per annum.

The post holder will have responsibility to support in the operational management of the Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC) Unit. They will be expected to carry out the initial assessment of patients on arrival to the department, and escalate in accordance with the clinical presentation to determine priority of medical assessment.
They will support the Unit Manager in planning and delivering nursing care and identify the relevant patient pathway to ensure the service is utilised efficiently. The post holder will recognise the deteriorating patient, perform necessary treatment and escalate appropriately.
Be required to ensure the highest standard of patient care, which reflects the quality of standards and values and behaviours of Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board (CTMUHB), and contribute to the implementation of policies and procedures within the sphere of responsibility.
Support the Sister/Department Manager in the management of staff within the SDEC Department.
Ensure a patient centred approach and provide a high standard of nursing care, directly involved in the assessing, planning, delivering from admission through to discharge/transfer.
