A healthcare provider in the UK is seeking a Clinical Advisor to deliver outstanding patient care while utilizing NHS Pathways systems. Qualifications

Job description
Training

You’ll be trained on NHS Pathways Systems, a recognisable licence that you’ll receive upon completion of training. Our two training options are:

  • Full‑time: Monday‑Friday 9:30am‑5pm for 4 weeks
  • Part‑time: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 6pm‑9.30pm and Saturday‑Sunday 9:30am‑5pm for 6 weeks

You must be able to attend every training day. This is followed by a further eight weeks of support before you can be signed off to work on your own.

What We’ll Look For

The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:

  • Significant post‑registration training/consolidation and experience
  • 2 years’ experience in adult acute or primary/community care
  • Strong understanding of patient management in primary or secondary care
  • Triage/telephone advice experience
  • Clinical decision‑making capabilities, ability to demonstrate critical thinking
  • Experience of working independently
  • Post‑registration acute primary care experience
  • Excellent listening and communication skills, with good IT and keyboard skills
  • UK registered nurse (NMC) or paramedic (HCPC) with appropriate registration
What You’ll Be Doing

Typical day activities include:

  • Speak with patients and provide them with telephone triage using the NHS Pathways system
  • Use your clinical knowledge to make decisions on the most appropriate action to take and give home‑care advice to callers
  • Respond to a wide range of calls (111) with the support of software systems and your team
  • Work set shift patterns with guaranteed regular breaks

About The Role

This position does not offer any home working. Here at Practice Plus Group we have an excellent opportunity to join our team as a Clinical Advisor and build on your nursing or paramedic experience while continuing to deliver outstanding patient care – without the physical demand of acute work. The role is comparable to band 7 or 8a. Typical earnings are £51,400‑£56,140 for a 37.5‑hour full‑time equivalent.

You will receive:

  • Pay: £24.47 per hour (7am‑11pm) and £27.83 per hour (11pm‑7am) with further pay enhancements of £30.60 per hour when working Friday 18:00 to Monday 7:00am.
  • Any training hours will be paid at £24.47 per hour
  • 25 days’ annual leave, increasing with service up to 28 days per year plus bank holidays
