Job summary

Intermountain Health in Grand Junction, Colorado, is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for an outpatient clinic to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care in coordination with physicians and the health team.

The RN will provide lung cancer screening navigation, program navigation, medication management, and emergency response support. Shifts are Monday–Thursday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with no call or evenings, and no weekends.

Qualifications

• Current RN License in state of practice.
• Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.
• Practice specific certification as required by the clinical setting in which they work (i.e., ACLS, PALS, etc.).
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• RNs with less than 12 months of working experience as an RN prior to joining Intermountain must obtain their BSN within five years of their start date.

Responsibilities

• Assess physical, social and psychological status and gather information from team and patient.
• Collaboratively develop individualized plan of care and involve patient and family.
• Direct and coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team to implement the plan.
• Evaluate patient response and revise the plan as needed.
• Promote nursing practice and ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards.
