Job summary

Lackey Memorial Hospital is seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for the Forest Ortho and Pain Clinic. You will deliver direct nursing care, support physicians, and work with a multidisciplinary team serving pediatric to geriatric patients.

The role emphasizes patient education on medications and self-care, maintaining safety standards, and participating in ongoing training including CPR. Prior clinic experience is preferred and a supportive environment is provided.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing program.
• Active and unrestricted LPN license in Mississippi.
• Current CPR certification.
• Previous clinic or healthcare experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care
• Assist in evaluating patient needs and carry out appropriate nursing interventions.
• Educate patients and their families on medications, self-care techniques, and disease management.
• Create a safe, secure, and supportive environment for patients.
• Document nursing care accurately and thoroughly
• Maintain age-appropriate care standards for all patients.
• Participate in ongoing training, certifications (including CPR), and emergency preparedness.
• Promote effective teamwork and a positive clinic atmosphere.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
