Job summary

Places Leisure in High Wycombe is seeking a climbing wall instructor to create a safe, engaging environment for users aged 4+ during climbing sessions, parties and clubs. You will deliver safety briefings, sign in customers, conduct safety tests and help maintain a welcoming atmosphere.

Training is provided for instructor qualifications (CWI/CWDI/foundation/Development coach). You must be an active climber (top rope) and at least 18 years old, with weekend and evening work required.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar environment with children is desirable.
• Active climber top rope climber; climbing wall knowledge helpful.

Responsibilities

• Provide safety briefing before sessions to ensure participants understand safety measures.
• Engage with a wide range of customers across sessions, parties and clubs.
• Sign in customers at the climbing wall reception, perform safety tests, and answer calls.
• Receive training for instructor qualifications and, if needed, develop route setting skills.
