Job summary

Mountaineering Scotland is recruiting for a part-time Competition Officer to support the ClimbScotland programme. 0.5 FTE (18hrs 75mins per week) with a salary grade of £25,918–£30,237 per annum; salary negotiable on appointment based on experience.

The role includes delivering the Scottish competition programme, liaising with wall managers and volunteers, and developing an annual competition calendar with partners.

Qualifications

• Manage delivery of competition programmes across Scottish climbing networks.
• Collaborate with national/international federations to calendar events.
• Grow volunteer culture and pathways from fun comps to national events.
• Provide regular copy and visuals for ClimbScotland media.

Responsibilities

• Deliver the Scottish competition programme in liaison with wall managers, route setters, coordinators and volunteers.
• Create an annual competition calendar with partners to support talent pathways.
• Foster a robust volunteer culture and establish a pathway from community events to national events.
• Prepare and share media content for ClimbScotland on an ongoing basis.
