About the role:

A Climate Ready advisor post has become available within the Healthy Green Homes team to deliver the Sefton Climate & Retrofit Action Project (SCRAP). This will involve provision of detailed 1-2-1 advice and information to Sefton residents on how they can retrofit their homes to make them more energy efficient.

Key responsibilities include:

Offering advice at a range of locations including at immersive room locations in the Borough, events, home visits or over the telephone. This post holder will also make applications for funding on behalf of vulnerable clients to enable climate/ retrofit works to take place e.g. home insulation, boiler replacement. Advice and information will also be given on behavioural change and how small changes can have a big, combined impact.

Applicants must have previous experience of providing this type of advice and support to the public and have a friendly and approachable manner. The position also requires detailed record keeping and working with sensitive data, and so attention to detail is required.

As well as liaising with the public, you will be expected to work with the team manager and co-ordinator to ensure the successful delivery of the SCRAP and where possible enhance these services. You will be provided with training and development opportunities to ensure you are fully informed of all applicable legislation, grants and Government policies.
