Job summary

Sefton Metropolitan Borough Council is seeking a Climate Ready advisor within the Healthy Green Homes team to deliver the SCRAP program, providing detailed 1-2-1 advice to residents on retrofitting their homes for energy efficiency.

You will offer advice at various locations, including immersive room locations, events, home visits or by phone, and assist vulnerable clients in applying for funding for insulation or boiler replacement.

Qualifications

• Previous experience delivering public-facing energy retrofit/advice services.
• Ability to handle sensitive data with attention to detail.
• Friendly and approachable manner essential for engaging residents.

Responsibilities

• Offer advice at immersive room locations, events, home visits, or via telephone.
• Assist vulnerable clients to apply for funding for retrofit works (insulation, boiler replacement).
• Provide guidance on behavioural changes and energy-saving actions.
• Maintain detailed records and liaise with the team manager to deliver SCRAP.
• Participate in training on applicable legislation, grants and Government policies.
