Job summary

The Centre for Climate Change and Social Transformations (CAST) at the University of Bath is seeking an experienced Impact and Communications Associate to help shape climate policy and practice through world-leading social science research. This full-time, fixed-term role involves translating evidence into accessible insights for policymakers, funders and the public.

You will lead CAST's communications and engagement activities, manage the Communications & Engagement Officer, build relationships

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in a social science discipline or equivalent experience.
• Awareness of developments in climate change policy and practice.
• Experience communicating complex information to diverse audiences.
• Experience planning and delivering communications campaigns or events.
• Experience developing relationships with decision-makers.
• Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver CAST's communications, engagement and impact activities to ensure research informs policy and practice.
• Build relationships with policymakers, businesses, charities and stakeholders to maximise impact.
• Develop high-quality communication outputs and translate complex evidence into accessible insights.
• Provide strategic oversight of CAST communications and engagement, including line management of the Communications & Engagement Officer.
