Job summary

The University of Edinburgh is seeking a Senior Climate Data Analyst to join the SCIS programme within the Edinburgh Climate Change Institute. This fixed-term role supports Scottish Local Authorities and partners to scale climate action, providing technical data expertise and coordinating delivery across climate partners.

The role will analyse Scotland-wide datasets to inform local and national policy, lead workstreams, and help develop data services.

Qualifications

• Strong data analysis and presentation skills.
• Knowledge of public sector climate policy and/or delivery.
• Proven written and verbal communication skills.
• Confident working independently.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise to shape and deliver climate action across Scotland.
• Analyse Scotland-wide datasets to provide new insights for local and national government policy.
• Lead workstreams and help develop data services to improve delivery of climate action.
• Coordinate delivery across climate delivery partners and share best practices.
