University of Edinburgh invites applications for a Senior Climate Data Analyst within the Edinburgh Climate Change Institute's SCIS Programme. The role focuses on analysing climate and policy data to support Scottish Local Authorities and partners, delivering actionable insights using ClimateView and related data services.

The position is full-time (35 hours per week), fixed-term until 31 March 2027, with hybrid working and two days in the Edinburgh office, plus flexibility.

Qualifications

• Strong data analysis and presentation skills.
• Knowledge of public sector climate policy and/or delivery.
• Adaptable in applying diverse problem-solving strategies.
• Proven written and verbal communication skills.
• Confident working independently.

Responsabilités

• Analyse Scotland-wide datasets to provide new insights for local and national government policy.
• Support Scottish Local Authorities and partners to shape and track progress on delivery of local and national plans.
• Lead workstreams and help develop data services improving climate action delivery.
• Identify and share best practices across climate delivery partners.
