Job summary

PSD Group is seeking a Data Analyst / Database Developer to enhance a proprietary climate modelling toolkit and deliver scalable data solutions for climate-related investments.

The role involves building and optimizing SQL databases, developing data pipelines, and creating reporting tools to support portfolio analysis and decision-making. Strong SQL and coding skills, plus an interest in climate modelling, are key.

Qualifications

• Strong SQL development skills, including stored procedures, views and queries.
• Experience with Python and willingness to expand skills across modern technologies.
• Knowledge of database design, indexing and performance optimization.
• Familiarity with version control tools (GitHub) and code review practices.
• Analytical mindset with ability to handle large datasets and derive insights.

Responsibilities

• Support development and enhancement of climate scenarios and risk analytics within the platform.
• Collaborate with investment, ESG and climate specialists to deliver reporting solutions.
• Develop, optimise and maintain SQL databases, stored procedures, functions and data pipelines.
• Build automated processes to ingest and manage large datasets from internal and external sources.
• Create reporting and visualization tools to support portfolio analysis and decision-making.
• Analyse climate and portfolio data to identify trends and actionable insights.
• Embed AI-enabled solutions into workflows and explore future innovations.
