Job summary

PSD Group is shaping its data platform within London’s investment management space. You will contribute to architecture choices, guide technical design, and implement new features while collaborating with vendor partners on a forward-looking Data Platform migration.

The role focuses on evolving the data platform to fit business needs, adopting a new investment platform data model, and extending to the parent company for data migration. Strong Snowflake and Azure experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong Snowflake as a key skill with experience of Cloud-based (preferably Azure) data platform.
• Experience within the Investment Management / Asset Management or Investment Banking sector is highly desirable.
• Database technologies such as Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle would be beneficial.
• Experience of implementing cloud-based distributed and scalable solutions.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for data engineering.
• Coding skills (Python, Java, SQL), and experience with large datasets, on-prem and cloud-based.
• Strong data modelling, experimental design, and execution.
• Understanding of data governance and data security practices.
• Experience in data integration, ETL/ELT pipelines and automation.
• Knowledge of cloud-based databases and development tools including virtualization and containers, with cost optimisation awareness.
• Experience in Agile or Waterfall project management.
• Experience with pipeline technologies FiveTran and OpenFlow.
• Familiarity with financial applications such as BlackRock Aladdin is preferred.
