Job summary

Transport for London is recruiting for a Climate Adaptation specialist to track progress on the Climate Adaptation Plan, provide subject matter expertise, and support data-driven decision-making across the organisation. The role requires strong analytical skills, knowledge of climate risk assessment, and experience with GIS mapping.

Hybrid working applies, with a balance between office and home. The successful candidate will collaborate across TfL and the wider London transport sector,

Qualifications

• Related degree or equivalent qualification (Essential)
• Strong knowledge of designing and evaluating initiatives to improve corporate environmental performance (Essential)
• Good knowledge of environmental management regulations and challenges relevant to TfL (Desirable)
• Good understanding of the political framework in which TfL operates (Desirable)
• Strong knowledge of TfL’s / other SHE Management systems (Desirable)
• Good knowledge of UN Sustainability Development Goals (Desirable)
• Understanding climate risk assessments and data (Desirable)

Responsibilities

• Track and monitor progress of TfL’s Climate Adaptation Plan actions and organisational targets.
• Provide subject matter expertise and upskill the business.
• Assist with climate risk assessments, external reporting, and data-driven decision-making.
• Analyse data and contribute to climate adaptation measures and GIS mapping.
