Job summary

Hunter Philips Executive Search seeks a Client Representative – Site Manager (Client Side) for a 15-month solar PV project in the Birmingham/West Midlands area. You will act as the client’s on-site representative, overseeing construction progress and enforcing safety, quality and programme requirements.

You will monitor EPC contractor performance, conduct site inspections, and provide detailed site reports.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising utility-scale renewable energy construction projects.
• Solar PV experience highly desirable.
• Experience on client-side or EPC contractor roles.
• Strong on-site presence with practical hands-on approach.
• Excellent reporting and stakeholder communication skills.
• Good understanding of construction quality management and HSE legislation.

Responsibilities

• Represent the project owner during construction activities on site.
• Monitor EPC contractor performance against programme, quality, and HSE.
• Conduct regular site inspections and issue corrective actions.
• Ensure works meet specifications and design requirements.
• Review progress and validate completed works against schedule.
• Produce site reports detailing progress, observations and risks.
• Challenge contractor methodologies where standards fall short.
• Provide site information to support commercial team on variations.
• Attend coordination meetings with contractors and stakeholders.
• Escalate significant concerns when necessary.
