Job summary

Hunter Philips is seeking a Client Representative – Site Manager to oversee utility-scale Solar PV construction in the Birmingham area. You will represent the project owner on site, monitor EPC contractor performance, and ensure safety, quality and programme alignment.

The role demands hands-on site presence, strong reporting, and effective stakeholder communication, with the ability to escalate issues and work independently across the project lifecycle. 15-month freelance contract.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising utility-scale renewable energy construction projects.
• Strong written reporting and on-site stakeholder communication.
• Hands-on, independent site presence with practical approach.

Responsibilities

• Represent the project owner during construction activities.
• Monitor EPC contractor performance across programme, quality and HSE.
• Conduct regular site inspections and document progress and risks.
• Review progress and validate completed works against the programme.
• Produce site reports and escalate major concerns as needed.
• Attend coordination meetings with contractors and stakeholders.
