Job summary

Scottish Power is seeking a Project Manager on a 12-month contract to support client-side construction projects, including new build depots and refurbishments. The role requires managing defined work packages, liaising with contractors and stakeholders, and maintaining clear progress updates.

Experience in regulated utilities and NEC4 contracts is advantageous. A CIOB/APM/PRINCE2 qualification would help, though practical delivery and collaborative mindset are valued.

Qualifications

• Solid construction project management experience in client-side environment.
• Experience with NEC4 contract principles is beneficial.
• Experience with contractor management, sequencing, risk and programme control.
• CIOB/APM/PRINCE2 qualifications would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage defined packages of work or smaller projects with appropriate support.
• Liaise with contractors, consultants, internal stakeholders and client representatives to communicate progress, issues and risks.
• Maintain clear communication around progress, issues, risks and next steps.
• Support delivery of depot and refurbishment projects within a client-side project management role.
