Job summary

Hunter Philips is seeking an experienced Construction Site Manager / Client Representative for a 200MW BESS project near Hartlepool. The role focuses on ensuring the on-site construction programme is delivered on time, safely and to quality standards.

You will act as the eyes and ears of the project management and engineering teams, coordinating with principal contractors, managing records, and providing clear weekly reports to the client.

Qualifications

• Strong site management experience in renewable energy or power infrastructure.
• Experience as Client Representative / Owner's Site Representative.
• Ability to monitor progress and provide weekly reports.
• Excellent record-keeping and quality control.
• Effective liaison with project managers, engineers, contractors and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day client-side construction oversight throughout the project.
• Act as the on-site representative for the project management and engineering teams.
• Monitor construction progress against the programme and provide accurate weekly reporting.
• Oversee works from earthworks through the main BESS construction programme and towards energisation.
• Maintain detailed and accurate site records throughout project delivery.
• Monitor Principal Contractor performance while maintaining clear client / contractor responsibilities.
• Liaise closely with project managers, engineers, contractors and other project stakeholders.
• Support the transition from construction into energisation and commissioning activities.

Job Ref: HP-3042 Hartlepool, United Kingdom Competitive Battery Storage ContractCONSTRUCTION SITE MANAGER - CLIENT REPRESENTATIVE - 200MW BESS - 275KV SUBSTATION (NORTH EAST)Location: Hartlepool Area, North East EnglandContract: Freelance / ContractDuration: 2-2.5 YearsSector: Renewable Energy - Battery Energy Storage (BESS)The OpportunityWe are looking to speak with experienced Construction Site Managers / Client Representatives interested in supporting the delivery of a major utility-scale Battery Energy Storage project in the North East.The project comprises a 200MW BESS development, including the battery compound, electrical balance of plant, export connection and construction of a 275kV on-site substation. Site mobilisation is planned for October, with the successful individual supporting the project through construction, energisation and ultimately commissioning.This is a client-side position acting as the eyes and ears of the project management and engineering teams on site.
