Job description

OMFIF is a dynamic and independent research institute and membership organisation. Through our London-based team we produce research and events on world finance and economic policy. We have a comprehensive global network of economic, political and investment decision-makers. Our members come from both the public and private sectors and comprise some of the most well-known and respected financial and technology organisations in the world. In addition to membership, we offer bespoke meetings and research on global policy and investment themes.

OMFIF operates through four thematic institutes:

  • The Economic and Monetary Policy Institute (EMP) convenes senior figures from central banks, finance ministries, sovereign funds and leading private sector institutions to discuss macroeconomic trends and shape the future of global monetary and fiscal policy.
  • The Digital Monetary Institute (DMI) explores innovation in payments, central bank digital currencies (CBDCs), tokenisation and the future of finance, bringing together technologists, regulators and policymakers at the forefront of digital transformation.
  • The Sustainable Policy Institute (SPI) focuses on sustainable finance, addressing policy, regulatory and investment challenges related to ESG themes.
  • The Sovereign Debt Institute (SDI) provides insight into global debt markets and the evolving policy frameworks around sovereign finance.

At OMFIF, we strive to maintain a start‑up atmosphere where creative ideas are encouraged, and no two days are the same. We are looking for entrepreneurial professionals who share our values of independence, innovation and integrity, and who want to work at the intersection of policy, technology and global finance.

This role suits a relationship‑focused professional who excels at managing senior institutional clients, understands the intersection of macroeconomics and sustainability, and is motivated by supporting global policy dialogue and thought leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and deepen relationships with existing members, ensuring strong engagement and alignment with OMFIF’s research and programme offerings.
  • Drive renewals and incremental growth by identifying opportunities for cross‑institute collaboration and bespoke engagement.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of key public‑ and private‑sector clients, maintaining consistent and high‑quality communication.
  • Work collaboratively with researchers, programmers and marketing teams to deliver value for members and ensure their priorities are reflected in OMFIF’s activities.
  • Monitor engagement and satisfaction, addressing risks of attrition proactively and strategically.
  • Provide market and client insights to inform product development, programming themes and commercial strategy.
  • Support the delivery of OMFIF’s flagship events, meetings and roundtables, ensuring effective participation and follow‑up with key stakeholders.
  • Prepare accurate reports and forecasts on renewals, engagement levels and account performance for the Chief Commercial Officer.
  • Represent OMFIF at high‑level meetings and events, reinforcing the value of membership and thought leadership.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

  • Proven ability to retain and grow institutional client portfolios and deliver high client satisfaction.
  • Strong understanding of - or interest in – macroeconomics and finance
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with confidence engaging at senior and executive levels.
  • Commercially astute and client‑focused, with a consultative and diplomatic approach.
  • Organised, proactive and able to work effectively across teams and time zones.
  • Strong project management skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems (Salesforce preferred).
  • A second language and international experience are strong advantages.
