Summary of our opportunity
ICG’s Client Solutions Group (‘CSG’) group is comprised of investment professionals who collectively lead and manage capital formation efforts, contribute to strategic growth initiatives and oversee existing client relationships. The successful candidate will act as product specialist dedicated to an investment strategy, serving as a subject matter expert supporting activities related to that strategy.
Reporting to one of the Client Relations Managing Directors, the candidate perform a key role in supporting capital formation and ongoing client relationship management activities. The individual will also form an important link between the CSG team and other teams within ICG, particularly members of the strategy’s investment team.
The successful candidate must have strong interpersonal and organisational skills and be a keen learner. The candidate will demonstrate market and investment knowledge and strong analytical skills.
Primary Responsibilities
The responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:
Acting as an effective product specialist for a strategy, building an understanding of strategy and the underlying markets and communicating this across stakeholders and clients
Coordinating and executing on new fund launches, including strategic planning and project managing steps from initiation through to fundraising, interfacing with various groups within the firm.
Responsibility for proactive analysis, development and monitoring of prospect lists, reporting regularly to internal stakeholders including senior management.
Preparation of high quality marketing and servicing materials such as fund overview presentation decks, RFPs and DDQs for client proposals and meetings, ensuring that all are delivered diligently, in a timely fashion and of the highest quality.
Ongoing coverage of investment themes, market dynamics and competitive landscape to proactively develop insights and contribute to high impact thought leadership.
Delegating work appropriately across the team within fund/asset class specialisations and ensuring appropriate review. Engaging in regular communication and feedback.
Leading ongoing strategic projects to enhance processes and workflow across the broader group, including but not limited to implementing efficiencies, driving quality improvement and ensuring consistency in deliverables.

Relevant experience with a strong academic background
Commercially and financially literate, demonstrating strong numerical and oral communication skills; excellent written and presentation skills
Demonstration of an exceptional level of attention to detail
Exhibit sound business judgement and the ability to interact with senior management and clients
A team player with strong organisation skills and the ability to multi-task, prioritise and meet deadlines
Pro-active, confident and self-motivated; ability to problem solve
Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Desirable
A solid foundation and understanding financial markets, ideally with prior exposure to Private Credit or Private Equity markets
Background or experience in asset management, the placement agent industry or investment banking
