Insite Public Practice Recruitment Limited is supporting a confidential, progressive accountancy and business advisory firm in Manchester. This Assistant Client Manager role targets an ACA/ACCA-qualified accountant ready to own a portfolio and lead a team.

You’ll balance client responsibility with leadership and culture, having autonomy to manage your own portfolio while collaborating with Directors. The role offers hybrid working, a competitive salary (£45,000–£55,000), generous annual leave

Qualifications

• Experience within an accountancy practice with client portfolio management.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to lead and develop junior team members.
• Commercial and client-focused mindset, with owner-managed clients.
• Experience using CCH is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Managing a varied portfolio of clients, including owner-managed businesses.
• Acting as a trusted point of contact and becoming someone clients rely on for advice.
• Overseeing the delivery of accounts and wider services.
• Leading, coaching and developing members of the accounts team.
• Working alongside Directors and other departments to deliver the best possible service.
• Identifying opportunities to strengthen existing relationships and support business growth.
